SALON POLICY
Our main concern here in the salon is safety & client satisfaction.
We have always maintained a high level of cleanliness & managing infection control, prior to Covid-19.
To gain the most from your salon experience, it is important that you read and understand the following policy, which has been written to ensure clarity and expectations between client and therapist.
MAKING YOUR BOOKING
Most of our salon treatments don’t require a booking fee.
However, a booking fee is required for the following treatments:
Aesthetic Treatments, Lash Extensions, some Hair Treatments & some longer appointments.
You will be asked to pay your fee at your consultation appointment. Please note that booking fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, the amount of the booking fee will of course be deducted from your total on the day of your treatment.
ARRIVAL TIME
Please aim to arrive on time to your appointment, extra time is allocated within your booking to carry out a consultation with you.
In the unfortunate event that one of our therapists are running late, you will be asked to wait in our reception area until we are ready, this rarely happens, but sometimes cannot be avoided.
If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, you maybe asked to reschedule to a different date incurring a late cancellation fee.
If you fail to attend your appointment, you will be required to pay 50% of your treatment costs before making any future appointments.
PREGNANCY & CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Some treatments are not suitable for certain medical conditions or during pregnancy. To avoid disappointment, please raise any concerns at the time of booking your appointment. We also ask clients to fill out a medical consultation, to ensure that treatments can be carried out, all information held is confidential.
PATCH TESTING
We have a duty of care to make sure clients are protected, and patch testing is a requirement of our insurance bodies. A Patch Test or Skin Test must be carried out AT LEAST 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Patch tests are needed for all new clients requiring hair colour, lash/brow tinting & lash & brow treatments, OR if your last treatment has been over 3 months.
As long as no reaction has occurred, we can proceed with your treatment. If there is any reaction, redness, swelling, itching, hot, burning sensation, or worse, sadly we cannot proceed with that specific treatment.
We will not provide any treatment without having a patch test first. NO PATCH TEST = NO TREATMENT.
OTHER
We are very happy to treat and take bookings for minors, however, we do require a signed form for parental consent.
To ensure you gain the most from your treatment, please ensure you arrive at your appointment WITHOUT any eye make-up for eye appointments, & make-up for facial aesthetics. Make-up and residue can have adverse effects on eye treatments and the therapist’s removal of this takes time away from the treatment you are paying for.
Children are not permitted to accompany you at your appointment for lash extensions & all aesthetics, this is due to needing to have full attention on the client, and for client and staff safety. Well behaved children are welcomed by prior arrangements if needed to accompany them.
Due to the conditions of our insurance & priding ourselves on high quality products & services, our beauty therapists are unable to infill the work of other therapists for lashes & nails. We welcome all kinds of feedback to ensure we are offering the best in treatments and client care.
PRE-PAID PACKAGES
Bamboo hair and aesthetic offers discounted prices when our customers pre-pay for packages of multiple treatments. To allow us to offer these discounts, we do not refund for change of mind or circumstance (see refund policy below).
Pre-paid laser hair removal packages involving multiple areas cannot be split over different sessions.
Expiry of pre-paid packages for laser hair removal packages is 18 months, and 12 months for skin packages. Cosmetic injection packages expire after 18 months.
Where a customer becomes pregnant or is unable to complete their package within this period due to a medical reason, the customer may either redirect their prepaid spend towards other treatments at Bamboo hair and aesthetic, or transfer to a nominated friend or family member. In the event of pregnancy, you may place the package on hold for the duration of the pregnancy and then resume once the term has ended. PLEASE NOTE: All packages will expire after 18 months.
FULL BODY PACKAGES
Full body laser hair removal package (Option 1) includes any and all areas of the body except for the back and shoulders. Option 2 includes any and all areas.
A customer may elect which areas they would like to exclude from the treatment, however no discount to the full body price will be possible.
We take a £50 deposit for full body laser hair removal packages as these require considerable time from our therapists.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL SHAVING POLICY
As part of treatment preparation for any laser hair removal treatment, customers are asked to shave the area/s for treatment within 24 hours of their booking.
Bamboo hair and aesthetic does over a shaving service at £20 for 10 minutes, but this does require booking.
Where a customer has not shaved the area/s Bamboo hair and aesthetic reserves the right to refuse treatment in the interest of Health and Safety.
CONSULTATION POLICY
A consultation is required for all new customers.
For laser hair removal, we will perform a patch test during consultation. A patch test is required at least 24 hours before proceeding to treatment.
REFUND POLICY
Bamboo hair and aesthetic is able to offer very affordable prices because customers often elect to pre-pay. Therefore, while refunds will be provided where required in accordance with the UK Consumer Law (for example if our service or product is faulty), we do not refund for change of mind or change of circumstance.
A customer may, however, redirect their prepaid spend towards other treatments at Bamboo hair and aesthetic treatment or transfer to a nominated friend or family member.
If a customer purchases a package online before coming to a Bamboo hair and aesthetic for a consultation, and a Bamboo therapist subsequently concludes (based on a consultation) that the customer is unsuitable for treatment (e.g. due to medical history or hair type), Bamboo hair and aesthetic agrees to refund the package purchase.
We also encourage all our customers respectfully to have realistic expectations of the results of treatment. We encourage you to discuss the expected results with your therapist before commencing a prepaid package with us.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Bamboo hair and aesthetic respectfully request that customers give at least 48-hour notice when they need to cancel an appointment. If less notice is given, the cost of a prepaid treatment session will be forfeited.
SPLIT PAYMENT POLICY
For packages over £200, Bamboo hair and aesthetic offers customers the ability to split payment in the clinic over 2 equal instalments (over 2 months), to allow customers to take advantage of great sales offers.
We charge a one-off £3.99 processing fee to set up a split payment schedule.
Card details must be recorded for payment schedules to be set up, and monthly instalments will be directly taken from the customer’s chosen card.
Where a customer is unable to pay an instalment, no interest or late fees will be charged. Bamboo hair and aesthetic simply won’t perform any more of the treatments in the purchased package, until payment is made.
After more than one month of non-payment, the package will be forfeited.
COSMETIC INJECT TREATMENTS
Given the higher cost of our injecting medical professional’s time, we reserve the right to charge a non-refundable deposit for injection treatments. This deposit can then be used towards treatment.
All potential cosmetic injection clients must first have a consultation with one of our injectors and be deemed medically fit and suitable for treatment before progressing to treatment.
Inject products purchased as part of a package can only be used in the same appointment for hygiene reasons. Dosages/vials cannot be split over multiple days.
RESPONSIBILITY TO FILL OUT CUSTOMER FORMS WITH HONESTY
Bamboo hair and aesthetic performs a number of treatments where customer honesty is very important e.g. regarding any medical conditions, medicines taken, recent treatments, sun exposure, allergies etc.
Bamboo hair and aesthetic will endeavour to ensure that the customer receives the very best treatment advice according to their needs. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to fill out customs forms to the best of their knowledge and advise their therapist if there have been any changes.
GIFT CARDS
Gift cards can only be redeemed in-clinic.
All gift cards have an 18-month expiry from the date of purchase.
Gift cards are redeemable by the recipient only, and non-transferable.
Gift cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
Gift cards can only be used to purchase Bamboo hair and aesthetic services or products.
Gift cards are non-refundable and can be used as part or full payment.
To make a purchase for an amount that exceeds the remaining gift card value, customers will need to pay the excess using another payment method.
Any remaining balance can be left on the card and be spent on future purchases. The remaining balance cannot be consolidated into a new gift card.
If the customer has purchased the gift card for another person, the customer must inform the recipient that they are bound by these conditions.
Bamboo hair and aesthetic Limited will not be held liable for cards which have been lost or stolen, although we may replace faulty, lost or stolen Gift Cards at our absolute discretion. Any such replacement gift cards will have the same unused value (at the time of replacement) and expiry date.
We reserve the right to change any of these terms and conditions at any time where the change is required – for example, to add or remove products or services which may be purchased with the Gift Card; to comply with any contract, law or regulation of any court, tribunal or other body having competent jurisdiction.
PRICE DISCOUNTS
We regularly offer price specials as part of our efforts to make premium aesthetics more accessible.
These discounts are available only when displayed in the clinic / on our website. Customers are able to purchase their treatments during this time and use the service at a later date
